Jammu and Kashmir: Grenade Attack in Sopore two SPO's Injured

SRINAGAR,13 March: Suspected militants lobbed a Grenade on Police post near Bus Stand in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday afternoon.

An official said, that militants hurled grenade a towards Police Post at Bus stand. In this incident Two SPOs was injuries. They have been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

Police in a statement to media said that today at about 1333hrs Sopore Police received information about a militant crime incident at Bus Stand Sopore where terrorists hurled a grenade at Police Post Bus Stand. Senior police officers reached at the terror crime spot.

The statement further stated that, Preliminary investigation revealed that militants had hurled a grenade at Police Post Bus Stand Sopore in which two police personnel namely Mohammad Afzal and Azad Ahmad received minor injuries.

Police has registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. Investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of this militant crime.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants.
